Home Sew Inc Catalog

Home Sew Inc Catalog - The humble catalog, in all its forms, is a far more complex and revealing document than we often give it credit for. The purpose of a crit is not just to get a grade or to receive praise. If you are certain the number is correct and it still yields no results, the product may be an older or regional model. It would shift the definition of value from a low initial price to a low total cost of ownership over time. At the same time, it is a communal activity, bringing people together to share knowledge, inspiration, and support.

Home Sew Loved, Inc.

This style allows for more creativity and personal expression. I would sit there, trying to visualize the perfect solution, and only when I had it would I move to the computer. Beauty, clarity, and delight are powerful tools that can make a solution more effective and more human. For a chair design, for instance: What if we *substitute* the wood with recycled plastic? What if we *combine* it with a bookshelf? How can we *adapt* the design of a bird's nest to its structure? Can we *modify* the scale to make it a giant's chair or a doll's chair? What if we *put it to another use* as a plant stand? What if we *eliminate* the backrest? What if we *reverse* it and hang it from the ceiling? Most of the results will be absurd, but the process forces you to break out of your conventional thinking patterns and can sometimes lead to a genuinely innovative breakthrough. A client saying "I don't like the color" might not actually be an aesthetic judgment.
